The DMACC Automotive Program announced today it has received Iowa Department of Education approval to begin offering the Honda PACT (Professional Automotive Career Training) Program beginning in fall 2020. The program, co-sponsored by DMACC and Honda, is designed to prepare students for employment as a Honda or Acura dealership technician and to help fill the growing technician skills gap found in many dealerships. The partnership, the first in Iowa and one of 29 nationwide, offers a curriculum specifically tailored by American Honda and DMACC, an internship at local Honda or Acura dealership, and often a career at the dealership upon completion of the program.
