Omaha-based long-term care provider pays $1.37M for Des Moines houses

613 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentMosaic, an Omaha-based nonprofit long-term care provider for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, has purchased six residential properties in Des Moines from Behavioral Technologies Corp., Polk County real estate records show.
Mosaic paid a total of $1.37 million for the properties.
The properties and purchase prices are:
• 915 E. 26th St., which includes a 520-square-foot bungalow-style house built in 1951. The purchase price was $111,000.
• 2542 E. Marion St., which includes a 1,249-square-foot house built in 1999. The purchase price was $235,000.
• 3023 E. Diehl Ave., which includes a 1,250-square-foot house built in 1999. The purchase price was $235,000.
• 2841 E. Porter Ave., which includes a 1,209-square-foot house built in 1999. The purchase price was $235,000.
• 3300 E. 43rd St., which includes a 1,267-square-foot house built in 1999. The purchase price was $235,000.
• 1200 Williams St., which includes a 3,537-square-foot house built in 1986. The purchase price was $327,000.
The first five transactions were recorded July 5. The transaction involving the property on Williams Street was recorded July 8.
In other Polk County transactions:
Thomas Benson and Sadia Ashraf-Benson paid Kimberley Development Corp. $1.12 million for property at 11967 N.W. Brookefield Court in Grimes, records show. The 1-acre parcel includes a 2,8770-square-foot house whose construction was completed in 2022. The transaction was recorded July 5.
D.R. Horton-Iowa Inc., a national homebuilder with offices in Ankeny, paid Stubbs Development Inc. $1.5 million for 26 residential building lots in Ankeny, records show. The lots are located in Canyon Landing Plat 1, west Northeast 38th Street and south of Northeast 102nd Avenue. The transaction was recorded July 6.
David Gomez and Alejandra Jimenez paid Kimberley Development Corp. $1.5 million for property at 6010 N.E. Terrace Ridge Drive in Ankeny, records show. The property includes a 2,357-square-foot single-family house whose construction began in 2021. The transaction was recorded July 7.
Adi Lakshmi Lodging Inc. paid Hari Krushna Inc. $2.3 million for property at 4995 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines, records show. The 1.8-acre parcel includes a 4,442-square-foot building that previously was home to Karma Ultra Lounge. The establishment closed in 2020 after its liquor license was revoked by the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division, according to a Des Moines Register article. A fatal shooting occurred at the bar the day before the state agency’s action. The property is valued at $395,000. The transaction occurred July 8.
Marco Properties LLC, located in Des Moines, paid Solid Ground LLC $2.1 million for just over 100 acres of undeveloped land east of Adel in Dallas County, Dallas County real estate transactions show. The property is located north of 288th Trail and west of Prospect Avenue. The transaction was recorded July 5.
IA Waukee NW 2nd LLC, located in Greenville, S.C., paid Waukee Crossing LLC $1.8 million for 23.1 acres generally located north of Hickman Road and east of Northwest 10th Street in Waukee, records show. The Waukee City Council in April approved rezoning the property to allow for the development of 539 multifamily units, records show. In addition, IA Waukee NW 2nd II LLC paid Waukee Crossing LLC just over $1 million for property that includes 3.5 acres adjacent to its purchase of 23 acres. The transactions were recorded July 7.
