Des Moines-based global food ingredients company Kemin Industries has appointed Yannick Riou as president of Kemin Nutrisurance, its pet food and rendering technologies business unit. Riou will take over for David Raveyre, who is now group president at Kemin Industries, effective today. Riou was formerly president of Diana Food, a subsidiary of global food and nutrition company Symrise. He was previously global sales director for Diana Petfood, based in France, and was Diana Food’s general manager of North America before becoming company president. “We are thrilled to have Yannick join Kemin, as he brings extensive expertise in the pet food industry to our Nutrisurance team,” Chris Nelson, Kemin president and CEO, said in a statement. “David has worked diligently to build our pet food business, and I believe Yannick can use this foundation of success to create an even stronger brand that distinguishes us in the global pet food industry for our innovation, expertise and commitment to science-backed solutions.” Yannick, a French native who currently lives in France, will lead Kemin Nutrisurance from France until he relocates to Des Moines in June 2020.
