Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Raccoon River Valley to be held Aug. 13
The Alzheimer’s Association will host its second annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Raccoon River Valley at Michael Mills Park in Panora on Saturday, Aug. 13. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the walk will kick off at 9 a.m. Last year for the inaugural walk, nearly $20,000 was raised for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This year’s fundraising goal is $27,000. The chairperson of the walk, Dave Grove, led efforts to start the walk in Panora last year, and he walks in honor of his grandmother, who passed in 2019 with Alzheimer’s.
