Kappos hired by Waukee as assistant public works director

Kappos, who began her new job on Jan. 28, will oversee the completion of public improvement projects in Waukee and will lead the city’s engineering, GIS and stormwater teams. Kappos spent the past 10 years working as an engineer for local engineering firm Veenstra & Kimm Inc. Kappos has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Iowa. She will be paid $95,381 annually.
