“Hamilton,” the 2019 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical, is set to return to Des Moines Dec. 1-27. “Les Misérables” is scheduled for April 6-11, 2021, and “To Kill a Mockingbird” is July 6-11, 2021. All three shows are at the Civic Center.

The Willis Broadway Series also includes: “1776,” “Tootsie,” “Hadestown,” Elton John and Tim Rice’s “Aida,” “Cats,” “Rent 25th Anniversary Farewell Tour,” and Chita & Friends with the Des Moines Symphony.

National Geographic Live features three speakers highlighting behind-the-scenes stories from their impressive careers. Speakers include paleontologist Nizar Ibrahim, National Geographic underwater photographer Brian Skerry and National Geographic wildlife photographer Ami Vitale.

Season tickets for the Willis Broadway Series and National Geographic Live Series are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 515-246-2300 (between 10 am. and 5 p.m. through May 3) or online at DMPA.org. The Civic Center ticket office lobby is closed through May 3. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organization canceled all shows through that date as well.

DMPA will announce the shows coming to the Prairie Meadows Temple Comedy Series, the Prairie Meadows Live at the Temple Concert Series, the Wellmark Family Series and the Dance Series at a later date.

Since opening the Civic Center doors in June of 1979, DMPA has entertained more than 10 million guests in its four venues (the Civic Center, Stoner Theater, Temple Theater and Cowles Commons). See more information on DMPA’s website.
