The Waukee City Council this week approved the site plan for a four-story Aloft Hotel that would be constructed at 2848 Grand Prairie Parkway. The 126-unit hotel is planned in the 40-acre KeeTown Loop development where a Live Nation entertainment venue is under construction. The $100 million entertainment district is expected to include retail shops, restaurants and one or more hotels. The Aloft Hotel is proposed on nearly 3 acres about a half of block north of the Live Nation venue. Aloft Hotels are part of Marriott International Inc.’s chain of hotels.
