The Greater Des Moines Partnership is hosting an event called Creating Opportunities: Agency Outreach to Minority and Small Businesses on Nov. 2. Businesses will be able to network with local government agencies and other businesses in the government contracting space. Several agencies will give short presentations about how minority and small businesses can do business with them, including the Des Moines Airport Authority, the city of Des Moines, the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority and the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The event will be at the Holiday Inn Des Moines Downtown from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Register for free on the Partnership’s website.
