The Iowa Association of Business and Industry and Elevate Advanced Manufacturing will recognize four manufacturing leaders on Oct. 4 at ABI’s annual Legends in Manufacturing dinner, which will be held in Ankeny. The four Legends in Manufacturing leaders were chosen out of hundreds of nominations for their contributions to Iowa’s largest industry by displaying leadership in their companies and by engaging in activities supporting manufacturing. In addition, all former Legends have been invited to attend and be honored once again. The winners are: Under 100 Employees: Kirk McCollough, Seneca Foundry, Webster City; 100-300 Employees: John Bruntz, CemenTech, Indianola; 300+ Employees: Jerry Krantz, SSAB, Muscatine; Manufacturing Champion: Debi Durham, Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa Finance Authority. “This year’s Legends honorees play a significant role in promoting advanced manufacturing, which contributes $33 billion annually to Iowa’s economy,” ABI President Mike Ralston said. “They are setting the bar statewide and are at the forefront of collaborating with other community leaders to build Iowa’s workforce. They are constantly strategizing on how to strengthen the manufacturing industry and ways to support future workforce.”
