Keynote speakers announced for Partnership’s Inclusion Summit

Tim Wise and David DeLong will be the keynote speakers for the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s 10th annual Inclusion Summit, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 9. The theme of this year’s summit, to be held at the FFA Enrichment Center at the Des Moines Area Community College Campus in Ankeny, is “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: It makes dollars and sense.” Wise, a prominent writer and educator on issues of racial equity, will present “Good Intentions are Not Enough: Why Equity Requires Transformative Thinking and Mindset Change.” DeLong, an author and speaker, helps leaders identify practical solutions to skill shortages and workplace challenges. He will present “Lessons From the Leading Edge: Leveraging Marginalized Workers in Today’s Economy.” The summit will also feature a CEO discussion on diversity, equity and inclusion, and a DSM 4 Equity Collective panel discussion.
