West Des Moines is ranked among the top 50 cities in the United States for finding a new apartment, a report by RentCafe.com found. The report ranked West Des Moines as the 40th-best city to find a new apartment. Between 2012 and 2021, West Des Moines saw a 20.7% increase in apartments, and 95% of the new units were occupied, the report found. Also, West Des Moines ranks 11th nationally in the amount of space found in new units.
