The Greater Des Moines Partnership is hosting a pop-up activation, DSM Loves You, in honor of Valentine’s Day. The activation features good-news boxes filled with positive affirmation notes and flowers, provided by local artists Maggie Goldhammer and Lisa Ehrhardt. The boxes will be available Feb. 13-17 at Ninth Street and Grand Avenue inside the 801 Grand building, and at Seventh Street and Locust Street inside the Partnership building. The box at 801 Grand will have a romantic setup with many notes and flowers, while the box at Seventh and Locust Street will feature a graffiti backdrop created by local artist Jake Gracey. Flowers will be available to take throughout the week, but they are first come, first served. The activation is sponsored by Principal Financial Group, MidAmerican Energy Co., Prairie Meadows and Bravo Greater Des Moines.
