Brian Clark, who for over seven years has worked at Ryan Cos. as director of development, has launched Sonar Development Partners, a company that specializes in owner’s representation, project management and development services. “The path I’ve taken has brought me to this next chapter and I am excited to put that experience to work,” Clark wrote in an email announcing the new company. Clark has experience in starting new companies. In 1998 he co-founded Confluence, a landscape architecture, planning and urban design firm that has grown to include nine Midwest offices. He was the firm’s president before leaving to join Ryan Cos. in November 2015. Clark, who is a member of Des Moines’ Urban Des Moines Review Board, has spent the past 18 months recovering from a stroke. To read about his recovery click here.
