The Iowa Association of Business and Industry Foundation said in a release that the deadline to nominate community leaders for the Leadership Iowa program’s 2023-24 class is April 1. The issues-awareness program selects 40 Iowa leaders annually to participate in monthly sessions from October to June, exploring the opportunities and challenges facing Iowa. The program aims to equip motivated Iowans with the resources needed to effect change within Iowa’s organizations and communities. Each class is selected to be representative of a wide variety of industries, professions, backgrounds, civic engagement and geographic locations in the state. Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged. The program has been a personal growth experience for many participants, and its outcomes are far greater when diverse participants can connect across industry and county lines.
