UNI announces $200M raised for Our Tomorrow campaign
The University of Northern Iowa announced its Our Tomorrow campaign has raised $200 million of the $250 million goal. More than 25,600 donors have contributed the $200 million since the campaign began, according to a news release. “When we publicly launched the Our Tomorrow campaign last fall, we knew we had made great progress thanks to the generosity of the Panther community,” Dave Takes, campaign co-chair, said in a prepared statement. “But we didn’t expect to be at this place in the campaign — just a few months later — sharing the news that we’ve surpassed the $200 million mark. This is an incredible accomplishment.” Campaign priorities are organized around four strategic pillars: student access and success, engaged learning, academic programs and faculty, and iconic spaces. Campaign contributions include $57.6 million raised toward a $70 million goal for student scholarships. A total of 379 new scholarships and 217 new endowments have been established since the start of the campaign, the release said. Nearly $53 million has been raised in support of academic programs and faculty. The campaign is raising $50 million for a comprehensive renewal of the UNI Dome.
