Iowa grant will help employers lower language barriers in the workplace

Kim Reynolds has announced the Iowa Language Learners Job Training Program will provide $357,470 in funding to 11 Iowa employers to support language programs. The grants aim to reduce language barriers in Iowa’s workforce by increasing dual language instruction, improving communication with customers, and enhancing recruitment and retention efforts. The grants will help 465 program participants and will be awarded to employers such as A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co., Country Maid and VGM Group.
