The sale of property in Bondurant that includes the Amazon AR Sort Fulfillment Center was the third-largest industrial real estate transaction in the U.S. in 2022, according to CommercialSearch.com. In February 2022, Virginia-based Capital Square purchased the property at 500 32nd St. in Bondurant for $326.2 million. The transaction is believed to be the highest sale price recorded in Polk County’s history. The state-of-the-art fulfillment facility, with a gross area of more than 2.69 million square feet, opened in December 2020. According to CommercialSearch.com, the priciest industrial transaction in 2022 involved the $392 million purchase of the LogistiCenter at I-95 in Wilmington, Del. The center is occupied by Amazon. The second-highest industrial transaction involved the $332 million sale of a multistory logistics facility in Brooklyn, N.Y. The 50 biggest industrial sales in 2022 added up to a total of $9.2 billion and were spread across 27 markets in 17 states, according to CommercialSearch.com.
