Science Center of Iowa names vice president of science learning

The Science Center of Iowa has appointed Rob Burnett as its new vice president of science learning. Burnett will oversee all aspects of planning and operations related to STEM learning through programs, outreach, exhibits and the SCI Preschool. He brings more than 16 years of experience as an educator and administrator, having previously worked as a teacher, dean of students and principal at various schools in the Des Moines metro area. SCI President and CEO Curt Simmons said Burnett’s wealth of educational experience will make him an integral part of the leadership team.
