Drake business college announces winners of social impact awards

Drake University’s Zimpleman College of Business announced the winners of the 2023 Social Impact Research and Outreach Awards. The annual program recognizes college faculty and staff members who address pressing issues facing society through their scholarship, and work in the community and around the globe. The five winning submissions, each receiving an award valued at $1,000, addressed a range of social and environmental topics. The winning initiatives targeted solutions to one of the biggest issues society faces: the need to advance inclusion across a range of dimensions. The recipients are Natalie Adkins, Anna Clark, Lendie Follett, Heath Henderson, Doug Bujakowski and Alanah Mitchell. Their contributions addressed topics such as advancing marketing research, inclusion practices in federal workplaces, optimizing selection of social assistance program participants, developing diverse actuarial science leaders, and leveraging project management curriculum to serve local nonprofits.
