Des Moines Performing Arts has invested in three Broadway shows nominated for the 2023 Tony Awards, according to an announcement by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. As part of the Independent Presenters Network, DMPA invested in “& Juliet,” “Life of Pi,” and “Some Like It Hot,” which received a combined 27 nominations. “Some Like It Hot” leads the nominations with 13, including best musical, while “& Juliet” and “Some Like It Hot” were both nominated in the same category. The 76th annual Tony Awards ceremony will take place on June 11 and will be broadcast live on Pluto TV, CBS and Paramount+.
