The Greater Des Moines Partnership is calling on all residents and Greater Des Moines visitors to celebrate local businesses and restaurants on May 15, also known as “515 Day.” This communitywide effort aims to encourage everyone to visit and support small businesses, coffee shops, artists, restaurants and more in the region. The Partnership’s Chief Operations Officer Tiffany Tauscheck said supporting small businesses is an excellent way to show appreciation for their contributions to the region’s vibrancy and character. The Partnership will also host a local business gift card giveaway in collaboration with the content creator organization Hummingbirds. The giveaway will be held on social media, and there will be $25 gift cards available for eight random winners from May 12 to 17. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #515Day on social media to share their experiences.
