DMACC offers accelerated IT certificate; targeting women

91 wordsAll Latest News, Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Lift IOWADes Moines Area Community College will begin accepting applications June 1 for an accelerated information technology certificate, with special outreach to women. DMACC reported that a study published this month by the National Center for Women and Information Technology showed women hold 26 percent of professional computing positions. The DMACC program will offer a Java Application Developer Certificate in eight months. The program is called Diversity in Application Development, with a tagline “Designed by women for women.” Read more.
