Des Moines-based LightEdge Solutions announced today that it is becoming a CenturyLink Data Center Partner at its Altoona facility. With the new partnership, the Altoona facility will now be seen as a part of the CenturyLink network. “It allows our customers to leverage cost savings and scalability to move their critical applications and infrastructure to our Tier II data center facility,” said Jeff Springborn, president and chief operating officer of LightEdge. The new data center partnership brings with it access options that are ideal for content-rich applications such as VoIP and unified communications, business continuity, disaster recovery and remote storage, as well as Web collaboration, and Web-based applications and video. LightEdge, which is owned by the Anschutz Corp., was founded in Des Moines in 1996.
