New section of Ackelson trail opens at Easter Lake
The second section of the Mark C. Ackelson Trail around Easter Lake and through Ewing Park is open, the Polk County Conservation board reported. The new stretch of paved trail spans 1.5 miles on the north side of Easter Lake from Ewing Park to Evergreen Avenue and improves access to nearby neighborhoods. See a map of the full trail plan.
