Consumer Price Index rises slightly

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers increased 0.4 percent in May on a seasonally adjusted basis, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the past year, the index was unchanged before seasonal adjustment. The gasoline index accounted for most of the increase in May, jumping 10.4 percent.. The index for all items less food and energy rose 0.1 percent in May, its  smallest increase since December. Read more
