Drake University announced that its designation as a Center for Actuarial Excellence has been extended through 2020 by the Society of Actuaries. The designation was first awarded to Drake’s actuarial science program in 2009. Drake is one of just 16 U.S. colleges and universities and 26 globally to hold the prestigious designation. “We are thrilled to once again be recognized as one of the nation’s top programs for actuarial science education,” said Terri Vaughan, dean of the College of Business and Public Administration. “Because of Drake’s elite status and stellar reputation, corporations from around the world recruit Drake students and recent graduates for internships and jobs.”
