Kristin Griffith has been hired as executive director for the Young Women’s Resource Center in Des Moines. Griffith previously was executive director at Harmony Hall Centre for Seniors in Toronto, Ontario, and has two decades of nonprofit experience that spans countries and functions. She served marginalized populations in shelters and public housing in Canada and the U.S. and has directed strategy and programming in women’s health, community development and refugee supports in Kosovo, Albania and Sudan. She will begin her duties at YWRC on Sept. 14.
