Eat Greater Des Moines to host first fundraiser
Eat Greater Des Moines, a nonprofit focused on establishing a sustainable local and regional food system, will hold its first-ever fundraiser with a brunch at HoQ restaurant Aug. 23. For $50, a three-course brunch will be served, or participants can enjoy bottomless mimosas or Bloody Marys for $25 per person. A short educational program will take place and donors will have the opportunity to learn more about the group and its local initiatives. The 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. event is open to the public.
