The March of Dimes announced that Bob Ritz, CEO of Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines, will serve as chairman of its annual fall gala, the 2015 Des Moines Signature Chefs Auction. Last year, the Des Moines Signature Chefs Auction raised $156,000 for its mission to prevent preterm births and give babies a healthy start in life.This year, Ritz’s goal is to reach $200,000. “We are thrilled to have Bob serve as our 2015 Chairman,” said Shonda Hershberger, Central Iowa Division director for the March of Dimes Iowa Chapter. “We see Bob bringing the same drive and dedication that makes him a well-respected member of the community to his efforts on behalf of March of Dimes.”
