The Iowa Center for Public Affairs Journalism – IowaWatch’s annual banquet will feature former USA Today editor Ken Paulson. Paulson now is president of the First Amendment Center and dean of the College of Media and Entertainment at Middle Tennessee State University. He also is a columnist on USA Today’s board of contributors, writing about First Amendment issues.The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown. Tickets are $55; a portion is a donation to the center. Registration deadline is Oct. 1.
