The Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s Sept. 30 Advanced Manufacturing Conference at the Prairie Meadows Events Center in Altoona will feature author and consultant Matthew May in a keynote address. May authored “In Pursuit of Elegance”and “The Laws of Subtraction” and served as a consultant to Toyota and a range of other companies. Also speaking will be Jeremy Bout, producer and host at Edge Factor, an organization that creates multimedia content aimed at educating students, teachers and parents about career opportunities in advanced manufacturing. Mark Everson, former Internal Revenue Service commissioner and vice chairman at alliantgroup, will share his thoughts on the current state of the IRS and how that could affect businesses.
