107 wordsAll Latest News, Business Community Events, Health and WellnessThe Homestead will hold an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 14, for its newly expanded Children’s Autism Project (CAP) Center in Altoona. The Altoona CAP Center began serving children with autism in 2010 but quickly outgrew the space, which was originally designed to serve 12 children. Through community support, the center has been expanded to include an enlarged clinic space that can now serve three times as many children. CAP provides intensive, one-on-one services for children with autism using research-based practices known as applied behavior analysis. The open house will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the CAP Center, 1625 Adventureland Drive, Suite B in Altoona.
