Courtney Long is a Design Fellow at Iowa State University and works at the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture. Her topic of creating urban agriculture was particularly interesting, in that, during a time of such angst and strife between rural and urban communities in Iowa, here is an effort that looks to draw upon our rural roots to help solve an urban problem. In her talk, Long shares a variety of efforts already underway to tackle urban agriculture.
