Kit Curran, an event management consultant who has more than 20 years of experience in financial management and budgeting, marketing, fundraising, community outreach and events, has been hired as executive director for Salisbury House & Gardens. Curran has worked as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa and as executive director of the Des Moines Wine Festival Foundation. She replaces J. Eric Smith, who left the position in August. “I am passionate about the Salisbury House and the enrichment it brings to our community,” Curran said. “I am so thankful for this opportunity and cannot wait to get started.” She begins her job immediately.
