The League of Conservation Voters plans a town hall meeting on Iowa’s water quality at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Environmental Education Center In Iowa City. The session will center on the “shortfalls” of the state’s Nutrient Reduction Strategy, which calls for voluntary conservation efforts on farms to reduce runoff pollution linked to health threats in untreated drinking water. Professor David Osterberg of the University of Iowa’s department of occupational and environmental health will lead the session.
