Insurer donates $350,000 for Methodist trauma center expansion
Professional Solutions Insurance Co. has promised to give $350,000 to support the expansion and renovation of the William C. Knapp Emergency Department and Trauma Center at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Blank Children’s Hospital. The Clive-based insurer’s gift will support the imaging and diagnostic department, as well as the CT scan suite. “We are proud to play a part in helping to improve the emergency and critical care that is delivered in our community,” said Rod Warren, president of the insurer. Fundraising for the trauma center has exceeded $11.7 million toward a $14.3 million goal. The expansion project is expected to be completed in mid-2016.
