Researchers at the University of Iowa and Rockwell Collins Inc. are working together to create software to help small drones autonomously fly themselves to safety should an operator lose control.

Researchers at the University of Iowa and Rockwell Collins Inc. are working together to create software to help small drones autonomously fly themselves to safety should an operator lose control. If an operator loses control of a drone now, it is likely to crash. The partnership is working on a solution so that the drone can land itself properly, reports DesMoinesRegister.com.
