Record number of families seek holiday aid
A record number of 265 Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa families have reached out for help this holiday season by signing up for the annual Embrace-A-Family program. Individuals, groups and organizations are invited to support one or more club families during the holiday season. Prior to 2010, the number of families signing up for the program averaged 45. In 2010, the program doubled in size, with 90 families supported, and last year more than 250 families were helped.
