The Business Record hosted it’s first ever Lift IOWA event Wednesday at the Hilton Garden Inn West Des Moines. Moderator Janette Larkin kicked things off by summing up how gender inequality in the home is holding women back professionally, robbing men of involvement in their children’s lives, stunting the growth of our children, and limiting the economic potential for Central Iowa businesses. 

We then asked our panelists to share one thing to know about how sharing the second shift can allow men and women to have equal opportunities to lead and nurture.
