Teaching for the Workplace to be offered in June
Teachers can get an inside look at the hottest careers for their students through Teaching for the Workplace this summer. The program, coordinated by DMACC Business Resources, will take place June 20-23 in Pella. The program includes tours of companies, opportunities to talk with company leaders about the skills needed for success, and information about best application and interview processes. Elementary, middle and high school teachers are welcome and can earn two recertification credits upon completion. To register for the 2016 Teaching for the Workforce program, K-12 Iowa teachers should contact Kim Didier. The program costs $120 and after completion, $75 dollars is refunded to teachers.
