Exelon says Q-C plant fails to clear auction
Quad-City Times: Exelon announced Wednesday its Quad-Cities nuclear plant in Cordova, Ill., failed to clear the PJM electricity auction, a blow to the company’s revenue picture. The auction is a means of awarding long-term energy contracts. Exelon, which has said it will close the money-losing Quad-Cities Station if the state of Illinois doesn’t pass legislation to help it by the end of the month, reiterated that call again Wednesday.
