Tuesday was a tough day for newshounds about to go on diets. The openings of three restaurants were reported. dsm Magazine reported that Dos Rios would not reopen at Fourth Street and Court Avenue. Instead, the same owners will open Goldfinch, and shift the menu from Latin-themed foods to offer diners something more native. Later in the day, The Des Moines Register reported that Vivian’s Diner & Drinks will open in August at the former Gramercy Tap inside the Hotel Kirkwood building at 400 Walnut St.The Register also reportedthat The Fletcher is now open in a portion of a former Dahl’s grocery store in Ankeny.
