The City of Pleasant Hill has joined Bravo Greater Des Moines, becoming the 17th local government to partner with the regional collaboration to support arts, culture and heritage organizations across the central Iowa region. Member governments contribute part of their hotel and motel tax revenues to Bravo, which allocates the money to area arts, culture and heritage groups. Pleasant Hill Mayor Sara Kurovski also will join the Bravo board of directors. Sally Dix, Bravo executive director, said, “The addition of Pleasant Hill adds a new community in which the arts can make a difference in the quality of life of residents and visitors.”
