The Iowa Economic Development Authority board has awarded investment tax credits and refunds on taxes paid during construction of Holmes Murphy & Associates’ planned office park in Waukee’s Kettlestone development area. Holmes Murphy will move from a building it leases at 22nd Street and Westown Parkway in West Des Moines when the Waukee project is completed. The Iowa Economic Development Authority today awarded $339,132 in investment tax credits and $648,000 in the form of a refund of sales, service or use tax paid during construction for the project, which will be located on a little more than 8 acres of land just north of Ashworth Road and west of Grand Prairie Parkway. Holmes Murphy will lease the property from a partnership of Knapp Properties Inc. and businessman Jim Cownie. The Weitz Co. will be the general contractor.
