GuideOne to exit personal lines business, reduce its workforce
GuideOne Insurance in West Des Moines will cut about 73 jobs over the next 12 to 18 months as the company stops selling home and auto insurance, The Des Moines Register reported. GuideOne plans to stop offering personal lines of insurance. Instead, the company will put more focus on its specialty of church coverage, spokeswoman Christy Gooding said. The company had about 710 employees before the cuts.
