Utilities board to hear arguments again on Dakota pipeline
The Iowa Utilities Board has scheduled oral arguments Thursday on whether it should reverse a March order that allowed construction on the Dakota Access oil pipeline. Earlier this week, a state court judge denied a bid by landowners to halt construction, saying opponents first had to seek a ruling from the state utilities board. Landowners filed an emergency motion the next day. Oral arguments begin at 10 a.m. at IUB offices in Des Moines. The proceedings will be live video streamed.
