IowaBio reschedules Cedar Rapids tour because of flood

109 wordsAll Latest News, Innovation and EntrepreneurshipA tour of the Creative Corridor’s bioprocessing facilities has been rescheduled for Nov. 30 because of flooding in Cedar Rapids. A welcome reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in downtown Cedar Rapids. Featured speakers will include Debi Durham, director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, and representatives of Iowa State University and the University of Iowa. The event, which is no longer open for registration, was arranged by the Iowa Biotechnology Association, the two universities and the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. The tour will stop at 10 or more facilities in Cedar Rapids, Coralville and Iowa City.
