UnityPoint Health – Des Moines recently announced its board appointments for 2015. Brad Brody, president of Strategic Growth Capital Inc. in West Des Moines and a member of the board for nine years, will serve as chairman. Also new to the executive committee are Martha Willits as vice chair and Dr. David Boarini as treasurer. Bishop Michael Burk will continue his term as secretary. New board members include; Gary Kahn, president of First Newton National Bank in Newton; Dr. Charles Svensson, UnityPoint Clinic; and Charlie Taylor, general counsel for The Graham Group Inc. Board members oversee the direction of health care activities at UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, which includes Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Methodist West Hospital,  Blank Children’s Hospital and John Stoddard Cancer Center.
