Iowa Females You Should Know: Amy Yost

Why

Amy Yost is the director of development and marketing at the Iowa International Center. According to those who nominated her, Yost is knowledgeable and informed on a wide range of international issues. Through her role, Yost frequently has opportunities to meet global leaders, including women in leadership positions. Her skills in the area of marketing and development are of invaluable help for those who connect with her. A young professional who is well connected in the Des Moines community, Yost is an excellent resource for information on a wide variety of topics.


Where she’s been

Yost has worked with the Iowa International Center for almost a year. Previously, she was in a community relations role with the Downtown Community Alliance, part of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. She also worked with other nonprofit organizations during her 15-year career in development, marketing and communications in Central Iowa, including Des Moines Performing Arts and the Des Moines Public Library Foundation.

 

Connection points

As a volunteer, Yost is actively involved in and is president-elect of the Rotary Club of Greater Des Moines (Evening Club) and is one of a team of three coordinating volunteers for the 80/35 Music Festival each July in Des Moines. Yost attended Iowa State University.
