Mainstream Living receives three-year accreditation
Mainstream Living Inc. has received a three-year accreditation, the highest level awarded, from CARF International for its programs and services for persons with disabilities in Central Iowa. Arizona-based CARF International is an independent nonprofit accrediting body that establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. This accreditation is the fourth consecutive three-year accreditation that CARF International has awarded to Mainstream Living. A CARF International report said two Mainstream Living locations were “exemplary.” Mainstream Living opened Aspen House in Ames in 2006 and Baker House in Des Moines in 2010. A third, Knapp House, is on the drawing board and slated to open next year in West Des Moines. Click here for a related story in the Business Record.
